Virtual Tour of a Day in a DMC Student's Life
In the diploma of Mass communication (DMC) at Republic Polytechnic, the only thing limiting you is your imagination. Every day you will be presented with a diverse problem to be solved. Go at it anyway you like, present your solutions anyway you want. It could be skits, videos, powerpoints or infographics. No answer is definite, there are infinite possibilities. Ultimately, be yourself, because in DMC we encourage originality, we create conversations.

Student Camps
Under the Diploma of Mass Communications at Republic Polytechnic, students are given the opportunity to take leadership positions to lead student-planned camps and activities for our freshmen every year. Through this, students are put through the entire process of planning, execution and evaluation. They will be put in real life situations whereby they have to account for budget, logistics and manpower. Sounds like fun?
Visit our Facebook page to see what else they have done!

RP freshmen orientation program, arguably the largest scale camp in the year, is a three day program which will expose our freshmen to the sights and sounds of RP. Through this camp, students will explore the campus through a series of fun and games.

Throughout the three days, groups of students from each school will be prepping for the final and largest event during the camp, RP JAM AND HOP.

The final spectacle to end the three day program, RP JAM AND HOP. This event will feature non-stop performances from the different interest groups within the school and also performances put up by the freshmen to celebrate the start of a new school term.

The first camp our freshmen will attend is none other than our in-house camp. This camp will introduce our freshmen to the culture, tradition and practices of our school, our signature cheer and of course our current students.

LET'S PLAY DRESS UP: One of our signature games which would require our freshmen to create outfits to match certain personas with the household items that we provide them.

MEDIA CAMP: One of the three major camps a DMC student will experience. This camp will expose the students and give them brief experience and introduction to actual media practices in the professional media industry.

OGILVY: Students were given the opportunity to visit one of the world’s most renowned public relations agency, OGILVY. Here they attend a workshop hosted by one of the professionals who gives them a brief introduction to Public Relations.

APOCALYPSE: One of the most memorable night games we have ever had. This game puts our students on a zombie themed amazing race to fulfil certain in-game objectives and ultimately, solve the puzzle given to them at the beginning of the game.
